It 'a great movie. the script is not quite like a book, some parts are rearranged and the flow of the story, plot, and added some pieces. Most of the figures were right, some not at all what I had imagined. But it's par for the course, a wonderful book that was made into a movie.
Overall, it was beautiful. I was completely wrapped up in the place and time. I forgot to feel thirsty, do not bother the woman in line who apparently ate all your refrigerator, aloud. I was there, and that is what makes a good movie.
And I was also in some other places ... because, oh my God. Hair, sets, costumes, sets, everything is perfect. Spot-on. And they took me to places of my childhood! China Aibileen? China Daily is the most used in my home in Tallahassee Memamma (white with a turquoise border.) Kitchen Elizabeth? It has been painted pale turquoise, very relieved the house that the same grandmother. Telephone, bell buttons, wallpapers ... behind me. And then there was the scene where Minoune Aibileen and saw a woman reading her book (The aid, Anonymous) Jitney Jungle at the supermarket. I almost took Valerie's arm off. I remember the grocery stores in Tallahassee when it was too small! Unbelievable.
Movies of all significant parts of the players expect. One of history, are cut out of the film was a Skeeter / Stuart plot.
